Brotkatze versus Votzekatze — the two art figures created by Commissioner Hjuler (Flensburg/D), with different levels of cultural development and intellect, get into a conflict similar to a state of war. In the context of an internationally realized collaboration, this fictitious dispute between artists of different origins (Europe, Brazil, Iran, USA) is processed by means of implementing the figures in photographic works, painting, objects, performance and video. The project participants will take up individually relevant aspects of the bread cat from associations and reactions to it, some of which are completely different, and place them in the context of social and cultural fields of tension.
